Water where there shouldn't be

Well, the euphoria of finally starting my rebuilt engine has suddenly
worn off. I have run the engine about an hour total now, and have found
a water leak. I first noticed about a teaspoon of water on the head
under the rear of the rocker arm shaft. After investigation, it seems
the water is coming from the threads of the rearmost left head stud. It
seems to just "wick" up through the threads, but at odd times.
Sometimes the water shows after the engine has run then cooled,
sometimes not. Sometimes it weeps after the engine has sat all night,
sometimes not. There doesn't seem to be any water in the oil pan, or any
other place it shouldn't be. Any help would be sincerely appreciated.
TIA, Dennis -- TR3-A, most of the rebuild parts came from TRF (30%
discount was nice).
