I just received those molded plastic door caps for my 1970 GT6+. I was
surprised to see that they are shaped to go over the original ones...just
assumed they'd be flat, but noooo...they have that pocket to fit over the
original foam. Well, my car is on its second restoration and the previous
owner stripped the old stuff off, down to metal, and simply recovered the
metal. So, I have no foam. Any suggestions? All I can thinnk of is to shoot
some of that canned Home Depot crap into the skins and shave it down.
Whattaya think?
