Rob,
I replaced my 73's over a period of many years. Its really not difficult if
your not color blind. Most of the connections are color coded. Blue goes
with blue, etc. I'm not sure where you intend on acquiring, but mine came
from British Wiring in Illinois. It is a lot easier if you have the old
harness and it is labeled where you took off various connections. Plus it
helps if you don't wait 15 years in between taking the old off and putting
the new on. 

Might add that there were certain wires missing and/or wrong ends which
make the old harness useful also. A wiring diagram is a must also and is a
part of most good shop manuals. Check the new harness with the old before
you start.
