Gerhard.........Here in the USA there are many places stocking o/s valve
guides.
       Even the old LBC parts places advertise them, if its a really
wierd size most machine shops can turn a set to fit,I did on a 49
Roadster and a TR4a irs,It helps if you have a tame machinist. Go see
,if not 
many of us on the list can help, but no, the guide MUST be an
interference fit in the head or it will work loose.
Wait a day or so the list will have more answers...................VIVA
