Hey guys and gals,

Of course the TR4 and later main gearbox cases are longer than the
TR3's. How else are you going to make room for the synchro first gear?
Recall that the TR3's straight cut gear on the mainshaft shared 1st and
reverse duties.

And the input shaft on the TR3 boxes protrudes past the bell housing
flange so that a 3 box cannot be placed flat on the floor. Every six
cylinder, including the 250, will rest flat when placed front down.

The tail shaft extension on all TR gearboxes, synchro and non-synchro,
is the same length, exactly the same length as all A-type overdrives.
