Right on, Jim. The TR4 manual calls for the same as the TR6 (i.e. 90w
Hypoid/Hypoy). However it says nothing about the GL number.
I wonder what the GL number was in the '60's (I suspect that GL4 was it) and
if GL5 (that's GL5) contains some additives which could cause a problem.
