While checking TRF's catalog for the right fittings to attach the rear most
part of the body shell to the frame, I saw that an "aluminum pad" is called
out. It goes between the shell and the frame. Does anyone know the reason
for this? Is it to provide a 'wear' surface? Is it really necessary? I
have been thinking about using a rubber or plastic washer as a substitute
since there is currently nothing there.
