Chip,
Based on your pictures in the Totally Triumph Garage, we are about at the
same point in our restorations, assuming you aren't much further than those.
I'm also doing a frame off of a 1976 TR6, and have finished the chassis,
suspension, differential. I just had the tub and fenders blasted, and will
be shooting a couple coats of self-etching primer onto those pieces
tomorrow. I am also on the brink of reassembling my engine - after some
machining work. It's always good to know others are in the same mess that
I'm in.

I am curious what places on the tub you used as lifting points when you
removed the body from the frame. The picture seems to show the chains going
inside the car. When I lifted the body, I wrapped tow ropes around the
sills and lifted with a winch. After primer, I'd like to not use that
method, as I'm sure it would smudge the primer. Any help you can offer
would be very appreciated.

By the way, I've been doing my restoration for about two months more than
you, but took a little time off for my daughter to be born. Really, we are
both moving along quite quickly for such a task.

I also noticed that your trailing arms are much nicer than mine. I steel
brushed them to clean, and called it good. Did you paint or powder coat?
If you painted, what color and brand did you use? A friend is interested in
making his as nice as yours. Otherwise, I'd like to think that the level of
my restoration is up to the same level as what I see in your pictures.
