This week I have tackled rebuilding the master cylinder on my wife's Stag,
after suffering the "pedal slowly eases to the floor' syndrome. Thanks to some
excellent directions from David Kirk, the teardown went like a breeze (at least
in terms of things Triumph!) But I have come apon a problem I'm not sure how to
fix. The metal loop that ties the two pistons together is broken at one end.
This would explain the minimal rear braking I had been experiencing. Has
anyone else suffered this problem, and what did you do to fix it? A check of
the Rimmers catalog doesn't show this part available. With the local LBC
club's 'Polar Bear Run' coming up this weekend, I'd like to get the car back
together, but more importantly I'd like to fix this right.

Thanks in advance,
