Will 3" K&N filters on HS6 Carbs?

Hi, Folks,

It seems I've come across conflicting information on if the 3"  K&N air
cleaners will fit in a TR4 when using the later, 'long plenum' intake
manifold fitted and HS6 carbs from the 4a without modifying the back of
the wheel tub with a BFH.

I've heard it fits and I've heard it don't.

Any consensus?
