I'm a late entry here, but my limited experience is.....

My Dunlop SP4 165-SR-l5 tires, a few thousand, a few years....never have
broken loose unless I intended.....really good in all weather......

I think soft, sticky rubber that holds well......wears fast.......and, hard,
stiff rubber, that wears a long time.........doesn't hold the road all that
well.

For example, am running some Yokohoma's on my Jag.....looks like I'll get
maybe 25-30,000 miles out of them, if I'm lucky......but,,,Man, do they stick
to the road......soft and sticky....(My wife says that I will pay more for
her to be safe! She had some Perrelli's (Sp?) that she couldn't keep on the
road in dicey situations!)

If you can't find the tires you want locally.....try British Wire Wheel, 1650
Mansfield St, Santa Cruz, Ca 95062, 408-479-4495. I live in Wa but I send
my spoke wheels UPS to them, they mount, balance, and UPS back to
me......with their great price, my 8.6% sales tax here, plus the
incompentance, locally......I really break even and know that it is done
correctly....... I'm a l5 year coustomer of theirs.....without
complaint.......(I do not own stock or have relatives down there :-}> )

Happy driving!

Clark
