When I bought my TR, it had whitewalls, I didn't like the look of them on
what I considered a car with a great competition history and to cut costs, I
asked the dealer to change them for blackwalls. I think I saved about
$40.00 back in 1958 on a 2350.00 car with o/d and w/s washers. While my
build record says it left the factory with whitewalls, I'll never have
anything but blackwalls.
