    I did.  The flywheel on my Oldsmobile cracked, but didn't detonate.  It
was thrown off balance so I had it checked out.  I had the mechanic show it
to me once it was off.  It was in 8 triangular peices when I saw it.  If it
had come apart while I was driving, it would have been like a grenade going
off under the hood.  I also had the wheel on the A/C Compressor on my
LeSabre T-Type come off.  That was because the bearing on the original was
thrown.  Also lucky it didn't slingshot off of the spline and destroy
everything under the hood.

You know, I've never heard of anyone have a flywheel break apart at speed,
but
I'd hate to think about what it might do to one's legs and ankles.
