Maybe this one didn't, but the story of the BBC news anchorman who 
handed over to the Weather-girl with the comment,

"Well, it's been warm and wet in London today, and here's Isobel Lang to 
tell you more.   I wonder if she's warm and wet?"

Is perfectly true.   (Although I probably haven't got the wording 
exactly right - I was laughing too much to memorise it).
