If it's that bad...........purchase a new one,.... to fit your hearts desire! 
 (Of course, if it's original, and you're very, very attached to it....listen 
to my rantings no further)   But....

As I always say, "You're time is worth something!"  A new one is .....maybe 
.....what......$280.....a good one, even less,....your time........$6 to $30 
an hour, who knows....(maybe $150)......so......you're gonna spend as least 
20 hours on this project, maybe more....I know, I've done 
it!....so.....$180-$600.....($3,000) ......just count it out.......if it 
makes sense, do it,........if it doesn't ........buy it new......and spend 
your valuable time on something else.......It took me many, many  hours and 
more dollars than I care to mention, to learn this........I give this to you, 
as a gift,  with hope and a little sorrow, so that you can do better than I!
