Ye gods,I have never seen a list as clean as this one and generally
subscribed by ladies and gentlemen. Considering the stress of maintaining
decades old cars that were not exactly designed for our climate I think a
little free release of justifiable frustration to those who understand is
not too much to ask. I guess politically correct is all about saving oneself
from being sued by irate parents whose children saw our tirades.

Sad. Worthy of a song.

Here's the best I could do in a few minutes; takes a little stretching for
the rhyme, but what the h--l:

(sound of clearing voice)

Sung to the music of "Yellow Submarine"

In the town where I was born
Lived a man who spoke too free,
And he told us of his life
And the trials that he did see
Attacked by all the Good who sang aloud
"There'll be no smut offending we"
We shall decide what you will be
In our new society

We all live in a pure society,
pure society, pure society
We all live in a pure society,
pure society, pure society

And he wept as he spoke
for a land that had been free
We looked around
and it seemed to be
that all we'd built
was foundering
And we sank beneath the waves
in our pure society.

All together now...

We all live in a pure society,
pure society, pure society
We all live in a pure society,
pure society, pure society

I'm watching you, you're watching me
to guard our pure society

We all live in a pure society,
pure society, pure society
We all live in a pure society,
pure society, pure society

Darn ghosts in the machine! The new main harness is fully installed. Lots of
new parts too. All connections checked and double checked, bulbs and sockets
cleaned etc etc etc. Di elec grease on all. . And the ghost of Lucas is
back. Most annoying an intermittant short in the signal/voltage
stabalizer/guage power (brakeslights?, back-up lights?) circuit (green). No
problem, no problem, no problem.....blown fuse!!! Use a bulb wired across
the fuse, dull glow w/ ign on, no glow /w volt/stab. disconnected, little
brighter glow w/ signal switch on, etc.... all nominal as far as I can tell.

Repalce fuse...take a drive in the country, beautiful sunny day in the Wine
Country. All systems at par everything works. Stop at a roadside cafe for
soup and salad and beer. Enjoy scenery! Back to the gleaming roadster, turn
on signal left out of parking lot, no signal...no fuel/temp guages. Blown
Fuse....... !!!!!!

Intermittant short in volt stab????? Brake lights???? Reverse lights????
Some kind of failure in electronic flasher unit???

RATS.

Deano..... Waiting for delivery of Dan Masters guide.
