I have one of my dumb questions.
I don't know how old the tyres on my 3 are. I've had
the car a year and a half. I think the tyres were on
the car when the previous owner bought it.
They are Michelins with lots of tread and no cracking
on the sidewalls I can see. In the 70's I had
michelins on my old 911 and when they got old the
tread seperated from the body. Those tires looked
fine till they exploded.
Is there a way to tell if they are OK?
Since this is a safety issue if there is no way to
tell I will have to pop for new tyres.
