Anyone know if the hole in the crank that the hub extention/fan bolt
threads into is a blind hole? I just pulled the bolt out of mine and there
was a groove cut in the end of the bolt. I was a hardware store
replacement and was a little longer than the original. Should I be worried
about metal shavings in the engine or can I just clean it out and replace
the bolt with one that is the correct length?
I'm working on it right now so quick responses are greatly appreciated.
