The _best_ rough service bulbs are made my Phillips.  I will use no other.  
They will wthstand many drops and such.  A trick to reduce the chance of a 
burn is to paint the reflector with aluminum paint.  There is a huge 
difference between a dirty reflector and a freshly painted one.
