This Tasmania site is outstanding in terms of quality and
professionalism - because it seeks to reflect not only the global
Triumph community on the one hand but representation of the global
Triumph 'range' on the other.
The Internet may already have a substantial number of club and
personal websites on Triumph cars and that is in no way to the
marque's disadvantage. As internet use widens and increases, we should
be seeing far more sites of the Tasmania type and they should be
actively encouraged to flourish.
In so doing, the cumulative effect will be an ever increasing
knowledge base for those wishing to avail themselves of such a
resource. More importantly, the progressive emergence of more and more
sites of good, bad or even indifferent quality, will only bring to
everyone's notice that numerically, Standard-Triumph made a wide range
of other cars outside the ubiquitous sports car category. While some
may seek to disagree, these non sports vehicles have a substantial
following and are entirely deserving of equal recognition.
Triumphowners.com directly addresses that matter - and should be
applauded for its existence.
All enthusiasts should have the right to exercise a prerogative in
limiting the scope of their interest to a small model group in
isolation. However, this does not mean the rest of the global Triumph
fraternity should be expected to follow suit or be condemned for
preferring to operate outside existing data retention or
correspondence facilities.
Whatever Standard or Triumph you own, promote it and share it in
whatever way you feel is most appropriate. If that scenario is
unacceptable to any one individual or group of enthusiasts - he, she
or they will just have to live with it.
