Yes- Brake fluid should work fine. Always soak the rubber pieces in brake
fluid when reassembling an M/C. I usually set the M/C in a vise, open end
tilted up, with a paper towel below for run off, and reassemble wet. Then I
just dry everything outside off afterwards.
