Need a catalytic converter? $300 each. There are three of them. At least 
on an XJ6.

Oh, and due to the fact that there are no seals on the valve stems, the 
converters tend to plug up quickly, so keep your wallet open.

It's why I had to retire "Kitty", my XJ6. She cost more to run than any 
two other cars, and wasn't worth as much as any of them.
