Santa was very kind to me and left me a few bucks for the
purchase/installation of a new radio for the TR4. There is a very old AM
"Triumph" radio (installed from what I was told when it arrived in the States)
though I will keep it, should I ever sale. Anyhow, would like to know what
others replaced theirs with, i.e., make and model etc. Since this is
something that I will have done at a professional shop, Wild West Sounds in
Reno, is there anything I need to stress about the negative ground? Lastly,
what about speakers, are there some models, folks are familiar with that built
in with the component. There are no built in speakers with my TR4 (64), so
need suggestions and ideas on that as well. Please take into consideration,
that I am slowly restoring the interior and the door panels and upholstery
(all original) has seen better days after nearly 40 years, will be replacing
that too, so need to think about that in regards to any type of speakers.
Finally want to thank everyone throughout the year that have given
me advice, assistance, etc. for it surely has been appreciated. Now if it
would only warm up in the Northeastern corner of California-today's high 27,
and more snow in the forecast-where is spring!
