TODAYM I TRIED TO INSTALL A ALTERNATOR INTO MY TR3-A WHICH IS A LEFT HAND
DRIVE. A PROBLEM CAME ABOUT, THE ALTERNATOR SEEMS TO REST AGAINST THE BRACKET
WHICH IS FIXED TO THE CHASSIS ITSELF. ON MY CAR THERE IS A BRACKET BOTH ON THE
LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE OF THE CHASSIS TO ACCOMODATE THE STEERING SHAFT COMING OUT
OF THE STEERING BOX(ONE PIECE UNIT). DO ALL CARS (TR3) HAVE THE BRACKET ON THE
CHASSIS FOR THIS STEERING TUBE? I CAN ONLY REASON THE REASON FOR THIS WAS
THEY WERE ALL BUILT THE SAME MAKING IT EASIER TO FIT EITHER RIGHT OR LEFT HAND
DRIVE. DOES ANYBODY HAVE A SOLUTION TO MAKE THE ALTERNATOR FIT WITHOUT CUTTING
THE BRACKET OFF? LARRY
