Yes, I have polished chrome with Eastwood chrome
compound.....essentially.......white rouge.........will take off scum and
brighten a a bit..........but if
you have little pits or bubbles that you can catch with your nail....it will
look a bit better.......but will eventually need rechroming......it's already
through the surface........
Just to polish.....Eastwood SS, or white rouge...........
For real heavy duty polishing jobs.......you need a large grinder that will
spin a 10" wheel......though I've gotten by for years using 6" buffing
wheels..........got me some tapered mounting shafts like the jewelers use,
they come
right and left handed......and get my buffing wheels from their supply
houses.........then I can quickly change from Carborundum., to red rouge, to
white
rouge, to jeweler's rouge, to plastic compound and to
pumice..........(actually I'm really underpowered, using an old 1/3 hp washer
motor, 1775
rpm.........probably would be a lot faster at 3600 rpm!)......a great
