Somehow I missed this part of the exchange about seatbelts.  

John - I disagree with you.  Safety should be a concern for anyone,
regardless of vehicle and opinions are basically all we get about
anything on this list.

The question was raised specifically regarding the TR3.  There are
2-point, 3-point, and inertia type - all available from the main
suppliers for our cars.  To ask which is preferred is a legitimate
question for the list.  True, sometimes the answers get off-point and
repetitious but that is what the delete key is for.  The discussion
eventually dies.  

Regarding the question at hand - I had the 3-point inertia type in
TS25264L but will go for regular 2-point in TS81802LO.  I found that it
didn't work and became bothersome.  The mounting point was high on the
wheel well and truthfully would have probably yanked free if put to the
test.
