TR4 engine plate flat?

Hi Listers,
Is the plate on the front of the TR(4) engine supposed to be dead flat?
Mine has one leg (driver side) that slightly bent backwards - say 1/4" at the 
most.
It looks like a bear to bend so I am not sure it is factory bent or my over 
use of crowbars in my youth.
Can anyone verify whether the front engine plate is dead flat?
