I think I paid about $10.00 for a 1/2" Allen wrench at Sears. Had to have it 
right then and there so 
I went out and bought it.

Maybe they just don't want to scare anyone away by mentioning that you need 
such a beast. They make 
a good conversation piece for your desk.
