I was told this the day after I bought my Sears 1/2" Allen Wrench.
Certainly would have saved me $9 if I got this a day earlier (the club
member who told me this refused to buy the wrench from me! ;-) ). TA

Rather than buying a 1/2" allen wrench for this one time application, use a
bolt with a 1/2" head. Put two nuts on the bolt and then thigten the two
nuts together - tight !!. Insert the bolt head into the tipping valve
retaining nut and put your wrench on the nut closest to the bolt head.
Reassembly is the same, except wrench is on the nut furthest from the bolt
head.
