If they are just pinholes, not too many of them, and there is still some
metal around them, you can drive a metal screw into the hole and that will
stop the leak. When I did this with an old Chevy, I used longer screws and
put a faucet washer on them, I may have also coated the screw with some gas
tank repair gunk - don't remember, but I was told those steps were not
necessary. You may have to open the hole a bit with an awl.
