<<Um, just to be clear, it wasn't me (Randall) that made the disputed
request for
additional info ...>>

Well as the guilty part, I suppose it is time to comment!!

I REALLY do NOT sit behind a keyboard all day and when I go thru me 600-700
mails I get, takes a few mts!!<G>

As the ORIGINAL POST said:

<quote>
I will be going to Santa Rosa, CA (north SF bay area) tomorrow, and am
wondering if anyone knows of any shops there that carry hydraulic parts like
misc. fittings and such? Short supply here in Eureka, and I need to adapt
my clutch hoses together with some fittings.
</quote>

Now would someone PLEASE explain to me what is wrong with my question???

<quote>
er Jeff, the question BEGS to be asked<G>: Why??
</quote>

There is ABSOLUTELY NO INFORMATION as to WHAT Jeff NEED to "...adapt my
clutch hoses...", is there???

First, I DO stock lots of strange items. Second, I have suppliers that
number just over ONE hundred so I MIGHT actually be able to assist (even tho
I have only be around LBCs for four decades<G>).

Also, I found it just a TAD strange that HOSES need to be connected????
Best of my knowledge, 4As (like all other LBCs I know about??) only have ONE
(hose).

Now ALL that said, on 6/27 at 9:32PM I received as follows FROM Jeff:

<quote>
Ed,

Because the hoses (actually lower hose, upper pipe)that I have both have
female ends. I need a union that will go from #3 to #4, JIC on both ends.

Also, because my original upper clutch pipe was fitting by the DPO, who used
a pipe with an American male end on it instead of English at the master
cylinder, which caused it to leak continually.

That's why!

Thanks,

Jeff

The next thing I see on List is:

<quote>
...it's just a smartass reply, apparently
made for the sake of practicing typing skills and wasting list bandwidth.
</quote>

My reply was NOT in ANY way meant to be as above. And the Lord knows I need
to "practicing type skills" like another hole in my head!!

As to "wasting bandwidth"?? Me thinks more has been "wasted" (except
Randall and a couple other) than I could possibly ever do.

And I apologize to this List for doing just that (but felt I had to say
something!).

And THANKS to RBH for noting that Google ACTUALLY WORKS!!! LOL
