Many years ago, I ran a gallon of pure ethanol through my TR3A. Only
conversion I did was lowering the carb jets to get the mixture right.
Seemed to work just fine, although I didn't try any comparative measurements
beyond the seat of my pants.
But when comparing prices, don't forget that there is a lot less energy in a
gallon of E85 than in a gallon of gasoline. You'll burn quite a bit more to
go the same distance.
