I don't know, but I don't believe the extra length is significant, assuming
you still have H6 carbs.

It's trivial to change the needle later ... my suggestion would be to use
the new needles and jets initially.  Once you get the engine running and
learn how it performs with the standard needles, you can try the old needles
and see if they make a difference.

It doesn't take much wear to alter the mixture substantially, which can lead
to odd things like overheating.
