The roll bar is required for another reason ... the attachment point for the
shoulder belt(s) must be above your shoulder. Otherwise the compression of
your spine in an accident will do more harm than good.
Also, to actually improve safety, the roll bar must be tied into the frame.
Many aftermarket bars only tie into the sheet metal.
THen the top probably won't fit, and you'll need a custom-modified tonneau
cover ...
