Greetings,

I have a question.

On my '71 GT6, my idle speed slowly drops off - normally after driving a while
(i.e. when I come to a stoplight). It'll begin at whatever speed I set it to
(currently around 800rpm) and slowly fall off until it seems like the engine
will stop. I've never let it run long enough to see if it does stop entirely or
not, but I've seen the idle speed drop to around 350rpm. A slight pull on the
choke speeds it up, but then it'll idle way too high (around 1500rpm). It seems
to be worse as the ambient temperature rises (i.e. summer is coming here in the
Great White North), although that could be my imagination.

What could be the cause of this? I've checked the throttle cable, choke cable,
etc. and have not found anything out of the ordinary. What sorts of things
should I look at?

TIA

Cameron
