John
The Ford Windsor small block was introduced in 1962 at 221 CI. The
260 was introduced later that year.
The 289 was introed in 1963 followed by the 289 HiPo or K-code in
late 63.

Hardly likely that TVR was building Griffiths with 289 HiPo in the 50s.

According to Classiccars magazine, ( http://
www.classiccarsmagazine.co.uk ) The TVR Griffith 200 was built in 63
-64 using a 289 with a claimed 191 bhp.

The TVR Griffith 400 was built 1964-67 and was equipped with a 289
with a claimed 270 bhp.

Either way, a very desirable automobile!

Cheers
