I already have an electronic tach and my 25D4 does not have tach drive... Do
you think it's better to have a pertronix or a crane conversion on my 25D or to
go with the 45DE4?

All the distributors will fit all the Spitfire engines. I have the
electronic dist on my wife's 1296 - the trick is that the pedestal or base
must accompany the body - and of course all the electronics etc. The only
other thing to watch out for is the electronic distributors do not have a
tach drive, so an electronic tach must be used.
