The 4-banger engine in my '63 Volvo would run-on for 10 minutes with
ignition turned off - until I got carbs rebushed, new butterfly
shafts, and plates. Now it stops dead.
I've been reading archives until my eyes crossed trying to find a
consistent answer about how to stop an engine from running on.
