IMO it would be wise to completely drop the diff anyway. TR6 are famous for
breaking differential mounts, and you can't always tell how bad the damage
is with the diff in place. The one I helped with was supposedly a low
mileage car, but when we got the diff out we could see where the mounts were
cracked and on their way to breaking.
