 A drill guide as you describe is a good idea.=C2=A0 I always use a guide l=
ike that whenever I use a tap.=C2=A0 If you get a tap started crooked you w=
ill never get it straightened out.=C2=A0 I like to use a solid block of alu=
minum but I have also used square tubing.=C2=A0 Same principal applies when=
 hand drilling.

Drilling a pilot hole is easier to get it centered.=C2=A0 Once the pilot ho=
le is there the other drill bits will self-center.
