Thanks again, just took some dimensions & did the calc as you suggested.  
Results make sense.  For MGA drum brakes, two leading shoe (front) creates 
25% more braking force than one leading/one trailing (rear), at assumed 
lining c.o.f. of 0.3.  At c.o.f. of 0.4, 2-lead is 35% more braking force.  
These results agree closely with a graph of an unknown brake in Puhn "Brake 
Handbook" (he shows +25% @ 0.3, +42% @ 0.4)
