It falls under the fleabag category, but Dave and I stayed at the Safari Inn,
was like $80 a night or something pretty cheap for that week/weekend. Of course
it should be a $49 / night place, but since they double rates to accommodate
the racers that week :) it isn't too bad.
It was clean, had funky pink sheets, but good water pressure and plenty of hot
water. I will tell you we went to Bed Bath and Beyond across the way to get a
candle to freshen up the musty smell.

Brain fart! I'm focused on Rolex 24 & wasn't thinking Sebring yet.
Have you tried all of the local motels/hotels like the Kenilworth, laQuinta,
Inn on the Lakes, etc.?
Rt. 27 flows well so don't be afraid to look further north or south.
A few years ago we rented a house just east of the track about 5 miles.
Shared cost 3-ways.
