- Jim--Hold the alternator pulley with one of those (rubber) strap wrenches, sold by Sears and others, while zinging the nut with an impact wrench. Dick

- It sounds as if you could use a chain wrench, typically available at an auto parts store. This would wrap around the pulley and secure the shaft while you twist the nut. Gary '73 69 75
