I need an airbag deployment lesson on a 2000 Infiniti Q45. So, when do the airbags deploy? Thursday my Q became an accordian. I got the car stopped but got nailed from behind and pushed into the truc

Glad you're OK. Hate to ask, but are you sure the SRS are in there and functional? Basically, G-sensors, which given what you described, as you suspect, may-ought to have deployed - Bob Mann

Could the fact that he was stopped have any effect? If the car isn't moving are they supposed to deploy? Or maybe the short, abrupt acceleration when he was hit from behind wasn't enough to fire the

Thanks for all the info and concern! Just a one day stiff neck. No one in the six vehicles was hurt. My car insurance agent got tied up in the delay though (hehehehe).
