Rest assured, you have a problem. I drove my '73 MGB with a similar symptoms for a month or two a while back. Apparently, the alternator was putting out something. There's three things you might do:

I'm not too sharp on all that electrical stuff. I will suggest that you check the belt that drives the alternator. It is possible that belt slippage is causing your problem. Larry 1969 MGB ==

The light is just a warning, you must have something wrong. If you have a tester that will check 12 volts dc, nows your time to get to use it. Start it up and under idle see what the voltage is at t

I had exactly the same symptoms, but it turned out to be a bad diode pack. The solder joint on at least one of the diodes had broken... Anyway, it was a progressive deterioration, where I could only

If it is an ignition kill type alarm I would definitely disconnect it completely and see if the problem goes away. These things are notorious for causing phantom problems in the ignition system. Sinc
