What can be done about a sqeaky fan belt??? My PS belt is squeaking bad, I tried cleaning the pulleys, tightening the belt, loosening the belt, soap, a slight mist of WD-40, (those 2 quieted it down

either its not tight enough, or the bearings are going in one of the accessories/pullies. If the sound goes away emidiately after spaying the belts while running, then its not tight enough or really

Did you replace the pulleys? A lot of times a warn pulley can cause a belt to squeak and wear out. Even if the pulley looks smooth it can still be warn and cause the belt to squeak. Also, make sure t

Be sure the width of the belt is correct, if its to narrow and doesn't contact the side of the pulley it will ride on the bottom and not get full contact with the pulley and may slip and squeak. --w

I fixed it!!!! I loosened the belts a bit, then I sprayed the pulleys & belt with de-greaser, let it sit, then pressure washed it off!!!! No squeaks for 4 days now!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the advise!!!
