Trunniions are relatively cheap, and very easy to replace. How old are they? I just did mine while doing the entire front end, figuring that I might as well replace everything, even all the bolts. G

I just rebuuilt my entire front end, including the rack. On my '67 Mk.3, the earth straps are held in place by the grease plug just behind where the pinion mates to the steering column. Brian

Good point. I know that the vac. advance is in need of replacement, but the error is more in the line of 2,000-2,500 or more RPM off. The replacement tach is probably 500 RPM off, though. I still ne
