Lo and behold, all four bolts on the left rear axle flange were loose! And I had been hearing an occasional bit of creaking fro the rear end recently. The moral: Don't forget to check those bolts! Do

Please correct me if I'm wrong on this, but I believe these are "nylock" nuts and my understanding is that nylocks should not be relied on after one tightening. I would think if any have worked thems

That standard has been changed, at least in the aviation industry. Nylock nuts are safe for re-use, provided the plastic insert is present and in good shape. -- The information contained in this comm

Fortunately, my bolts were only a little bit loose, not enough to flop around, but only enough to let the flanges slip against each other when under load. I'm sure that the nylocs prevented them from
