Charging issue most likely. Using a volt meter, test the battery voltage before and after you start the engine. It should be a minimum of 12.6 volts with the car running, and ideally around 14-16 vol

Ray, Check the tightness of the grounds and battery leads, but it's most likely your regulator (part of the alternator) which is bad. Get it to an auto electric shop & have it tested. Atwell Haines '

2000rpm you should get 14 volts, and 15 is an absolute max, otherwise your battery will be overcharged and you will keep having to top up the batterys water.
