It is fairly easy to install a new liner and piston set. The only critical measurement is to ensure the liner stands proud of the block per installation instructions. That ensures a good liner seal.

If you don't have any obvious leaks I would suspect the master cylinder is bypassing at times. Probably the rubber cup inside. Problem sounds like it is in the hydraulics not the clutch. Pete Hello a
